Treated with an expander, full braces and elastics. Treatment time = 23 months Case #2 Interceptive/Early treatment/2-Phase treatment (after first phase of orthodontic treatment): Before:  After:  Notes: Patient seen at age 9 with severe crowding and a good bite. Four first premolars extracted and teeth guided into position with passive orthodontic space maintainers for 15 months (Phase 1). Full braces needed for 18 months to idealize the tooth position (Phase 2). Case #3 Severe overbite: Before:  After:  Notes: Ten year old female patient avoided extraction of teeth by wearing a headgear and lower space maintainer for 12 months, followed by full braces for 24 months. . Case #4 Adult deep-bite: Before:  After:  Notes: Fifty year old male patient treated with full braces and a lower incisor extraction. Bite correction and tooth alignment took 30 months.
